Mill Equipment | Milling systems can size reduce wet or dry powders. Their are variable speed drives that permit low speed screening and high speed impacting with one milling system. A typical milling system consists of an inlet chamber with a rotor screen and an outlet. The particle size depends upon the speed of the rotor, rotor type, screen hole size and the feed rate of the product. High shear granulation turns powders into dense granules for tableting or coating. Powders are added to a mixing bowl. A large impeller spins the powders into a vortex. A chopper tool shears the granules and removes the air. The granulated product is dried in the mixing bowl or fluid bed dryer. |
