Tablet Press | Press equipment or presses are used for the production of a number of products including tablets and briquets. Presses are designed to press granules, powders, or small solids into a single mass using a large amount of pressure. The amount of pressure necessary to press the powders or granules into a solid depends on the characteristics of the material that is to be pressed. Bonding agents are sometimes used in the production of tablets or briquets to assist the various materials in bonding together. Single action tablet presses are designed to produce one tablet per cycle and are used for low levels of production. Rotary tablet presses have multiple tablet pressing heads which allow the press to process multiple tablets at a time, though each tablet is at a different level of completion. Rotary tablet presses produce tablets on a continuous basis. Briquet presses a specifically designed for producing briquets. |
